Las tres primeras marcas han mantenido el mayor crecimiento de su valor entre 2006 y 2013. De acuerdo al informe, Subway creció en un 5.145% durante los últimos ocho años. Situación que obedece a su oferta de productos y servicios posicionada dentro del mercado de las cadenas de comida rápida.
Apple registró un crecimiento del 1.045% de su valor y Amazon lo logró en un 470%, durante el mismo período. En general, las ochos marcas mencionadas se destacaron por un elevado crecimiento en los últimos ocho años.
Peter Walshe, director de Global BrandZ, afirmó que “una marca fuerte es una mercancía valiosa y cada una de las presentes en los primeros lugares debe su excelente desempeño al hecho de que le ha dado prioridad a estrategias de construcción de marca que han permitido impulsar las ventas, posicionarse lejos de la competencia y venderse a un precio superior.”
